1. Our Commitment to Accessibility
MCEL is a digital brand of Mega Commercial Enterprises Limited, an Irish-registered company, incorporated under Company Number 726999, with its registered office at 77 Camden Street Lower, Dublin, D02 XE80, Ireland (“MCEL”, “we”, “our” or “us”). This Accessibility Statement explains how we approach the accessibility of this website, what we have done, what we know still falls short, and how to tell us when something is in your way.
We want this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, switch devices or voice control. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We do not claim perfection; this statement describes our aims and our current position in good faith.
2. Scope of This Statement
This statement applies to the public website at mcel.ai. It does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, embedded content or tools linked from our site, which remain the responsibility of their providers under their own terms and policies.
It also does not apply to AI systems, automations, websites, web apps or other Deliverables that MCEL designs, configures or supports for clients. Those systems are configured to each client’s own requirements under a separate written proposal, scope of work or agreement, and the accessibility obligations that apply to them are a matter for the relevant client’s own business, as described in our Terms of Service.
3. What We Have Done
Accessibility measures on this website include:
- Colour contrast — text is checked against its background to meet AA contrast ratios, including text placed over graphics.
- Keyboard navigation — links, buttons, menus, accordions and forms can be reached and operated without a mouse, with a visible focus outline on the element you are on.
- Structure — one main heading per page, headings in order, landmarks and labelled navigation so screen readers can move through a page sensibly.
- Text alternatives — images that carry meaning have alternative text; decorative graphics are marked so screen readers skip them.
- Forms — the enquiry form uses visible labels and text-based error messages, and the Cloudflare Turnstile spam check it uses completes automatically in most cases without requiring interaction.
- Reduced motion — animated elements are switched off automatically where your device asks for reduced motion.
- Responsive layout — pages reflow and remain readable when text is enlarged to 200% or viewed on a small screen, without sideways scrolling.
4. How We Assess This Website
This statement is based on our own assessment rather than an external audit or certification. We use automated checking tools alongside manual testing — navigating pages by keyboard alone, reading them with a screen reader, and viewing them at 200% zoom and on mobile devices — and we re-check pages when their content, layout or functionality changes.
This website was last reviewed in August 2026.
5. Known Limitations
We make no representation that every part of this website meets every WCAG 2.2 AA criterion at all times. Known limitations include:
- Third-party content — components provided by third parties, such as embedded content, font delivery and the spam-prevention check, are outside our direct control, and their accessibility depends on the relevant provider.
- Documents — PDFs or other downloads published before this statement may not be fully tagged for assistive technology.
- Demonstrations — interactive or audio demonstrations of AI systems may not yet have full text equivalents, transcripts or captions.
- Testing coverage — we test with a reasonable range of tools and settings, but not with every assistive technology in every browser and device combination.
Where we know something falls short, we would rather fix it than describe it. Reports of specific barriers genuinely help.
6. AI Systems and Demonstrations
Parts of this website demonstrate AI systems, including voice-based and chat-based examples. Where a demonstration is audio-based or highly interactive, the same information can be obtained in text by contacting us, and an enquiry can always be made by email rather than by phone or voice.
AI systems that MCEL configures for clients are covered by section 2 above. Their accessibility toward a client’s own customers depends on that client’s requirements, platforms and configuration, and should be considered as part of the client’s own compliance planning, with appropriate human oversight, review and escalation as described in our Terms of Service.
7. Accessibility Legislation
The European Accessibility Act has applied since 28 June 2025 and sets accessibility requirements for certain digital products and services. In Ireland it is given effect by the European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023, which generally exempt microenterprises — organisations with fewer than 10 staff and an annual turnover or balance sheet total below 2 million euro.
We publish this statement as good practice rather than as an assertion of any particular classification, certification or conformity status. Nothing in this statement is legal advice.
8. Reporting an Accessibility Barrier
If you cannot use part of this website, please tell us. It helps if you say what you were trying to do, which page you were on, which browser and device you were using, and — if you are comfortable sharing it — what assistive technology you use.
Contact us at [email protected]. We aim to respond within five working days and to say honestly whether and when we can fix the issue.
9. Alternative Formats
If you need information from this website in another format — plain text, larger print, or a description of an image or demonstration — contact us at [email protected] and we will provide it where reasonably possible.
10. Changes to This Statement
We may update this Accessibility Statement from time to time to reflect changes to the website, our services, technology or legal requirements. The latest version will always be published on this page with an updated effective date, and we review this statement whenever the website changes significantly.
